It all started when...
“It all started while I was an exchange student in Brazil for two months during high school. I was just 16 at the time, and living in a completely new country opened my eyes to the world in a whole new way. I discovered how much I enjoyed meeting new people, learning about their cultures, trying their food, celebrating their festivals, and understanding their way of life.
That experience became a turning point for me. It made me realise that moving to new places is one of the best ways to grow, both personally and professionally.”
Why I chose Griffith
“I chose Griffith because of the flexibility of the Business School, the wide choice of courses, and all the extra clubs and committees. Now that I’m here, it’s even better than I imagined, especially with all the support services.”
Life on campus
“The campus itself is a huge part of why I enjoy being here. The library is more than just a place to study, it’s a social space where I can always find friends. I love grabbing a coffee on campus, taking walks, or sometimes even spotting a koala if I’m lucky. There are so many ways to unwind from sitting on the lawns while students play guitar, to going for a swim at the pool, hitting the gym, or joining a weekend tennis class.”
The best of the Gold Coast
“Living on the Gold Coast means my days are a mix of study, work, socialising, and enjoying the outdoors and that balance is something I really value.”
Getting involved
“What really makes my Griffith experience special is everything beyond the classroom. I’m part of Griffith Mates and the Student Guild where I’ve helped organise and run events. Through these opportunities I've gained valuable experience, met people from different study areas, and expanded my network.”
Unforgettable memories
"From hugging a koala, to learning the rules of AFL and cheering my heart out at matches, to trying Vegemite for the first time — every moment has added a new layer of Aussie culture to my life.”
Personal growth
“This whole experience has changed me so much. I feel more confident, independent, and like I truly belong here. Studying abroad has helped me grow into a strong, independent person who genuinely loves the life I am building.”
