The amount of credit you receive depends on the amount and type of study you have completed.

You may be eligible for up to two-thirds credit towards a bachelors degree depending on the nature of the previous study. Regardless of the amount of credit awarded however, you will be required to complete a minimum amount of study at Griffith University. Refer to the Credit for Prior Learning Procedures for details.

If you are an undergraduate student and have applied for an internal transfer from one program to another, there is no need to lodge a credit application. If you are eligible for credit you will receive an email to your student email address as soon as the assessment has been finalised.

Credit assessment may not be able to be finalised until:

  • all current trimester results are finalised, and/or
  • you have nominated your major/minor/specialisation.

If you have not been notified of your award of credit by the commencement of Week 1 or believe you are eligible for additional credit, email us via Ask a Question, select 'Credit Transfer' topic and include your Student ID.
