Leona is an experienced chair and non-executive director and brings more than 30 years’ experience in the corporate sector, in the areas of strategy, governance, risk management and business leadership.  She has held executive positions for several ASX-listed companies and non-executive director positions in ASX-listed, member based and not for profit organisations.

Leona is currently Chair and President of RACQ Limited, Chair of Helia Group Limited and a Director of Liberty Financial Limited. She is also a Board member and Ambassador for Griffith University's Climate Ready Initiative and was the recipient of the 2024 Griffith University Outstanding Alumnus Award.

She previously held the role of Co-Chair of the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative for Sustainable Insurance and was recognised as one of the 100 Women of Influence in 2015 for her work on Resilience.
