We aim to directly improve the health and wellbeing of communities across the globe by facilitating world-class discoveries that target the development of healthcare practice and survivorship. By translating evidence-based research into clinical practice, our researchers are continuing to improve patient care, experiences and outcomes. Our research spans cancer, ageing and neuroscience disorders such as dementia and brain trauma, patient safety of people in acute and community care, women’s health and lifestyle disorders such as obesity, and evaluation of current practices including acute wound care and integrated and holistic models of care. |

Professor Wendy Moyle
Professor Wendy Moyle’s research expertise is in the areas of dementia, depression and delirium.
She has focused her research on psychosocial interventions to improve quality of life for people with dementia and their family carers, and to manage the behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD).

Ovarian cancer clinical trial
We are seeking women aged 18 years and older who have been diagnosed with recurrent ovarian cancer to undertake supervised accredited exercise during chemotherapy.
Neuroscience, Ageing and Dementia
Our purpose
Our researchers investigate the links between mind-body functions. Our goal is to improve understanding and management of conditions that affect brain function and behaviour, such as normal development and ageing, dementia, delirium, stroke, traumatic brain injury, autism and schizophrenia.

NHMRC CRE Wiser Wound Care
Our purpose
Our aim is to improve the delivery of acute wound care services in hospitals. To achieve this vision, we investigate how to prevent and treat these wounds and ensure this knowledge translates into both policy and practice.

We focus on three high-volume, high-risk and high-cost acute wounds that occur in hospital.

Wendy is an experienced nurse researcher who has been inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame and is a lifetime honorary fellow of the Australian College of Critical Care Nurses.
