Tourism Mobility as a Service

Visitors to new desintations may face many transport challenge, such as lack of information, disconnected services and lack of easy payment methods.

As part of an Advance Queensland Industry Research Fellowship Project, Griffith tourism and transport researchers seeks to introduce MaaS and micro-transport solutions to Queensland’s tourism sector
We are partnering with two leading micromobility operators (Neuron, Beam), the Department of Transport and Main Roads, and local governments (Brisbane and Townsville). By stimulating tourism with micro-transport and MaaS solutions and improving tourist experiences, the project will transform Queensland’s tourism industry to be user-centric and seamlessly connected.

We are currently analyising travel behaviour for a baseline analysis, and developing choice-based surveys that evaluate visitor preferences for new tourist products and bundles, including desintation and attraction offers.
