It’s hard to describe where we are now. Settled, unsettled or just resolve. That anguish felt was bound by a coping numbness for some months. No one had expected such a threatening disaster in our small town of Beechmont. It was a school day for me. My husband kept me posted with regular updates of fires in the valleys below, fires too close to my son and his family.
