This study explores the methods that parents of young drivers use to encourage their teenager's compliance with graduated driver licensing restrictions, their experiences of imposing limitations on the young driver and their views as to the effectiveness of setting such limits. The young drivers’ views of parental limit-setting and the methods of ensuring compliance with GDL and their effectiveness will also be explored.
