Evidence-based research on the modern workforce

The Centre for Work, Organisation and Wellbeing (WOW) brings together a diverse team of researchers exploring how work is changing and how it can be improved. Our staff specialise in areas including the design and regulation of work, workforce diversity and inclusion, leadership, workplace wellbeing, and the impacts of technology. As work continues to evolve, WOW researchers are helping to shape healthier, fairer, and more productive work environments—through rigorous research, collaboration with industry, and active engagement in national and global debates.

Our research spans pressing issues such as flexible work arrangements, employee mental health, the gig economy, digital disruption, and the future of leadership in a rapidly changing world. By drawing on multidisciplinary expertise, WOW contributes evidence-based insights that inform workplace policies and practices across Australia and internationally. We partner with businesses, governments, and community organisations to translate research into action, ensuring our findings have real impact for workers and employers alike.

Learn more about our team and their contributions to the future of work, and explore how WOW is shaping conversations on workforce transformation, sustainability, and wellbeing.
