Prize terms and conditions

2026 Open Day registration prize draw
  1. This prize draw is a promotional game conducted by Griffith University ("Griffith").
  2. By entering, you agree to accept these terms and conditions, and warrant that you meet the entry requirements.
  3. The promotion opens at 10.00 am AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time), on 12 February 2026 and closes at 11:59 pm (Australian Eastern Standard Time), on 9 August 2026 (Promotion Period). The terms and conditions were made available online on 29 June 2026 and updated on 21 July 2026. The terms and conditions published here govern the conduct and administration of the Promotion, including the draw. Entrants who registered prior to publication of these terms and conditions and who do not wish to participate on these terms may withdraw by notifying the promoter in writing.
  4. Entry is open to people who are 15 years of age or older and are Australian and New Zealand citizens or permanent residents and individuals residing in Australia during the promotional period, other than current employees of Griffith and their immediate families. Griffith reserves the right to verify the identity of entrants at any time and may disqualify any person who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these terms and conditions. Griffith is free to accept entries which contain errors and omission at its discretion.
  5. Entry into the competition is free (other than the cost of accessing Griffith’s Open Day website or attending Griffith’s Open Day, which is your responsibility).
  6. The promotion is limited to one entry per person.
  7. Each person who completes the entry form during the promotion period and who provides their contact details as part of their entry will automatically be eligible for one entry in the prize draw.
  8. All entries become the property of Griffith. No responsibility is taken for late, lost or misdirected entries.
  9. The prize draw will take place at 10.00 am AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time) on 10 August 2026 at Griffith’s Brisbane South campus. Five (5) winners will be selected by a random draw. Griffith’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  10. There are five (5) major prizes, being five (5) Visa prepaid gift cards valued at $1,000.00 AUD each. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable for cash. Griffith reserves the right to offer a replacement prize (of equal or greater value) if the advertised prize is not available.
  11. Prize winners will be notified by phone and email, and the names of winners will not be published.
  12. Prizes winners must collect their prize from one of the following Griffith university campuses, within two (2) weeks of the prize draw. Proof of identification will be requested from the winner at the time they collect the prize.
    Griffith University Brisbane South campus: 170 Kessels Road, Nathan
    Griffith University Gold Coast campus: Parkland Drive, Southport.
  13. If any of the prize winners cannot be contacted (or if Griffith is unable to deliver their prize) within two (2) weeks of the prize draw, then a new winner will be drawn at random from the remaining entrants.
  14. Each gift card has its expiration date denoted on the back of the gift card. Queries regarding use or redemption of the gift card should be directed to the card issuer.
  15. Griffith reserves the right to modify, suspend or cancel the promotion if it cannot be run due to any reason beyond Griffith’s control, or if Griffith determines that the integrity or administration of the promotion has been adversely affected due to circumstances beyond its control. Griffith may also disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process.
  16. Griffith will not be liable for any loss, expense, damage or injury sustained by any entrant in connection with this prize draw, a prize or redemption of a prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case, that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law).
  17. Any personal information you provide to Griffith in the course of entering the competition will be dealt with by Griffith in accordance with these terms and conditions and the University’s Privacy Statement. Your personal information will be used for distributing degree and event information in the future.
