Study and experience Peru
Get swept up in the rugged beauty, history and cultures of Peru, all while earning 20 credit points towards your degree. The centrepiece of this course is a unique international experience: a three week field trip to Peru. You will travel widely with professional and knowledgeable guides to experience the diverse landscapes, local life and cultures of Peru.
This field trip is an exceptional opportunity to enhance your intercultural and communication skills. It is open to all Griffith University students.

Study tour details
Length of trip: Approximately 3 weeks
Pre-departure: 4 two-hour lectures (22/03; 19/04; 17/05; 07/06).
Peru field trip: Depart Monday 12 June returning Sunday 2 July 2017.

Credit Points Awarded: 20CP (3848QCA - Global Local Infield Project 2
Maximum number of participants: 12
AU$ 6,600 + the IEIS Griffith university payments (including airfares, ground transport, accommodation and other living expenses).
Some undergraduate students will be eligible for a $6,600 loan from the Federal Government which goes onto your HECS-HELP bill if you are:
- an Australian citizen or the holder of a permanent humanitarian visa
- an undergraduate Commonwealth supported student (HECS)
- enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at Griffith University
- completed at least 80CP of study at Griffith University by the time you go overseas - in a Griffith degree program (not a diploma).
Transfer credit from other Australian Universities is accepted as long as this credit is counting towards your current degree at Griffith and you were a Commonwealth supported student at your previous institution (TAFE courses do not apply). You will be required to submit a copy of your HECS/HELP Debt statement as confirmation of this.
