Griffith University Art Museum
Griffith University Art Museum provides cultural asset management, curatorial services and research publication service provisions to Queensland College of Art and Griffith University on five campus areas between the Gold Coast and Brisbane. It also administers the On-Campus Exhibition Program, displaying the Collection of over 5400 objects in thematic and curated groups on over 110 approved sites between the Gold Coast and South Bank, Brisbane.
The Gallery is located in the South Bank cultural precinct and is a free public gallery at the Queensland College of Art, South Bank campus. A diverse and rigorous range of exhibitions are generated in-house, or toured with regional, state or national galleries in a bid to focus attention on contemporary practices and their historical contexts.
An online catalogue for the Collection has been produced as a resource for researchers. The online catalogue provides public access to information on this significant collection of Australian art since 1975. Where permission from artists has been granted, researchers can access scanned images and written commentaries of works held in the Collection.
