Griffith University Artworks
Griffith Artworks is the management authority governing Griffith University Art Gallery and Griffith University Art Collection. It provides cultural asset management, curatorial services and research publication service provisions to Queensland College of Art and Griffith University on five campus areas between the Gold Coast and Brisbane. It also administers the On-Campus Exhibition Program, displaying the Collection of over 5400 objects in thematic and curated groups on over 110 approved sites between the Gold Coast and South Bank, Brisbane.
GUAG is the Griffith University's exhibition gallery and is located in the South Bank cultural precinct.
The Griffith University Art Gallery is a free public gallery at the Queensland College of Art, South Bank campus. A diverse and rigorous range of exhibitions are generated in-house, or toured with regional, state or national galleries in a bid to focus attention on contemporary practices and their historical contexts.
Griffith Artworks has produced an on-line catalogue for the Griffith University Art Collection, as a resource for researchers on the Internet. The on-line catalogue provides public access to information on this significant collection of Australian art since 1975. Where permission from artists has been granted, researchers can access scanned images and written commentaries of works held in the Collection.
