Get a hands-on education across various digital formats using the most advanced facilities, including a cinema. Acquire a thorough grounding in the history, practice and critical analysis of film. Choose from electives in editing, producing, cinematography, directing, scriptwriting and production design, among many others. You’ll take courses in screen production and screen distribution. You’ll have the advantage of supervised work placement.

Excellent facilities include 16mm and high-definition video; studio facilities providing multi-camera and sound stage capacity; motion capture; significant post-production labs and edit rooms; and state-of-the-art sound recording studios.
Build your portfolio and develop vital contacts and networks through our key industry links. Work on projects for real clients through our commercial multimedia production arm, LiveLab, led by BAFTA award-winning creative director Richard Fabb. LiveLab is currently working with local creators to produce global online content in the Queensland Creative Entrepreneurship Program, bringing together YouTube, the Queensland Government and LiveLab to offer content creators world-class skills.

Angie Fielder: Hollywood Producer
Griffith Film School alumnus Angie Fielder is a successful Hollywood film producer. Her production company, Aquarius Films, has been in business for over a decade, and she has celebrated the enormous success of her film Lion, which stormed the box office and was nominated for six Oscars. The film, starring Dev Patel and Nicole Kidman also won Best Film at the 2017 AACTA Awards.
Angie graduated from the Queensland College of Art in 1996, and was Griffith Film School‘s Graduate of the Year in 2012. ‘I definitely tried my hand at a few different things while I was at University; I had the chance to try producing, directing, editing. It was a great foundation in learning how movies are made.’
