Practical experience
Build your portfolio and develop vital contacts and networks through our key industry links. Intern with local studios, including Ludo Studio, producers of the award-winning children’s animation Bluey. Work on projects for real clients through our commercial multimedia production arm, LiveLab, led by BAFTA award-winning creative director Richard Fabb.
LiveLab works with local creators to produce global online content and were a part of the Queensland Creative Entrepreneurship Program, that brought together YouTube, the Queensland Government and LiveLab to offer content creators world-class skills.
Go Global
Journey to outback Queensland to collaborate on productions with partner schools including Falmouth University and Beijing Film Academy; or travel overseas on study tours and extended exchange programs with our international partner universities.

Animation alumni create International Emmy Award winning kids TV show
Griffith Film School animation alumni have recently taken out the International Emmy in the Kids/ Preschool category for their hit series, Bluey. The animated series which premiered on ABC Kids, has become the ABC’s most watched show, with 241 million plays since its launch in 2018.
Griffith Film School alumnus Joe Brumm created Bluey after watching his daughters at play. Griffith Film School graduates made up more than half of the workforce on Bluey, including Animation graduate Beth Harvey, who is one of the lead animators on the project. “I hope that this helps put Brisbane on the world map for animation,” she said.
