The Bachelor of Music is designed to prepare music makers for the digital age, where the varying job descriptions can range from composing and arranging to live performance, audio engineering/editing and mastering, and more.

You'll be interacting with industry professionals, musicians and researchers with extensive experience and international standing. You'll be creating music in high quality computer laboratories, recording studios and state of the art facilities.
You'll have access to a variety of networked performance spaces, and a diverse group of performers and productions. You can collaborate with other Conservatorium students and departments on projects such as interactive music performances and installations, video games, music videos, documentaries and feature films. You'll apply yourself to one or more areas of study: audio recording, sound for moving image, electronic music production. Your coursework will also incorporate music technology applications in commercial and studio music production and recording, computing and sound editing, live sound recording and reinforcement, and sound composition.
Develop your skills through real world experience
You'll undertake theoretical and practical training that emphasises the development of creativity in music technology and the business of music. You'll have the chance for hands-on learning through project work within the industry. You'll be given opportunities to develop client relationships, teamwork, communication and industry networking opportunities.

Sedelle Wagner has combined a successful career in the music and film industries – working on videos for international stars like Adele and Calvin Harris, before moving into post-production on feature films, including the Marvel blockbuster, Wonder Woman.
'My time at the Con taught me how to collaborate with a range of creative people from various disciplines,' she said.
'There was a large network of support at the Con and the degree was a great opportunity to collaborate with a large talent pool - whether that was recording a song in the studio with a jazz student or learning from industry professionals in the classroom.'
