Since introducing Australia's first degree in multimedia, we have ensured our multimedia and interactive entertainment students remain one step ahead by equipping them with the creative and technological skills needed to meet the demands of the rapidly evolving digital media industry.

Our program features a blend of digital technologies and creative arts providing a comprehensive foundation of multimedia design, production, management and evaluation.
We offer the only multimedia program in Australia that provides professional accreditation through the Australian Computer Society.
Our courses prepare students for typical workplace scenarios, building strong technical skills for the creative use of technology. All students participate in work integrated learning through industry placements and develop a portfolio providing many graduates with a direct entry into employment.

An IT degree from Griffith was the start of an amazing journey for Elliot Nash. Soon after graduating, Elliot landed a programmer analyst role with a Gold Coast tourism operator with a focus on online tourism. This role led him to the realisation that his interest lay in combining his technical skills with business strategy. Elliot returned to Griffith to study an MBA.
Following his further studies, Elliot's qualifications and technical skills brought his profile to the attention of Amazon recruiters. It was not long before he was on his way to Seattle to take on the role of Technical Program Manager and embracing a new life in the US.

The interactive entertainment and multimedia industries are experiencing rapid growth both domestically and internationally, and need graduates with product development skills such as those provided by this program.
Depending on your chosen major, you'll have opportunities to work in game development, film and television production, web development, sound production, visual media design, or multimedia production management.
