Discover what to do if you're unable to submit an assignment on time
An assignment is a task that is undertaken outside of scheduled class time, and builds on work delivered in class. This may include, but is not limited to:
- case studies
- laboratory reports
- literature reviews
- research-based assignments
- planning documents
- problem sets (e.g., math problems)
If you are unable to submit an assignment by the due date, you may be eligible for an extension of time.
Applying for an assignment extension
Application for an assignment extension must be submitted through the online application form by the due date. Your application must also include appropriate documentation to support the grounds on which you are requesting your extension of time. Grounds include the following:
- other (e.g., family or personal circumstances, employment-related circumstances, unavoidable commitments).
You will be notified of the outcome of your request for an extension of time by email. The status and outcome of your application can be viewed using ‘My application status’.
