Supporting you through COVID-19
There have been many changes over the last few months that have resulted in hardship for people all around the world, both economically and emotionally. We have listed a number of helpful services and resources available at Griffith and elsewhere to support you in this uncertain time and help you stay on track with your studies. This site will be updated regularly with new information as it becomes available.

Financial and career support
COVID-19 Student Support Package now available
If you are a current international student who cannot travel to Australia due to travel restrictions, you may be eligible for the 15% Student Support Scholarship in Trimester 1, 2021. The scholarship is being applied to continuing* students in current degree programs who are studying from overseas and who are not already in receipt of a scholarship. The scholarship will be applied to fees after the census date in Trimester 1, 2021. In addition, Griffith has committed to a $2,000 contribution towards the cost of your return to Australia when this becomes possible, to assist with the cost of travel and quarantine.
*Continuing students are those who commenced their current program prior to 2021 and are enrolled in a program normally delivered on campus.
International student scholarships
Griffith University offers an exciting and generous range of scholarships to support international students. Our scholarships include the International Student Academic Merit Scholarship and International Student Academic Excellence Scholarship.
Griffith committed over $2 million in Trimester 1, 2020 to the Griffith COVID-19 Student Support Bursary for students suffering financial hardship affecting their ability to study online. This more than quadruples what we have provided in previous years and means we will have helped more than 2000 additional students, both domestic and international, who are financially struggling. In Trimester 2, 2020 this commitment increased to a total pool of $5 million to assist students with living expenses.
