Some students need to relocate to study at Griffith. This can be a daunting experience, especially for those living away from home for the first time. Even long-term renters can experience problems with their tenancies.
The Welfare and Student Liaison Office can help with:
- information about your rights and responsibilities as a tenant
- support resolving tenancy problems or disputes
- referrals to relevant service providers in the community
- locating emergency accommodation if you are experiencing a crisis
We may be able to help explore options for temporary accommodation, and financial assistance and support to address issues surrounding homelessness. You can also access our Homelessness Help in the Community Information Sheet.
Student Services has produced a series of Rent Smarter videos students may find useful. They present possible real-life scenarios that can occur when renting.
