The Student Investment Fund provides outstanding finance students with access to Queensland’s largest student managed investment fund, totalling $250,000. Finance students will enrol in a course where they will analyse, evaluate and invest in socially responsible, ASX listed companies. Using Griffith’s Trading Rooms, live data and real money, students will gain unparalleled practical experience.

The Griffith Student Investment Fund is the largest student managed fund in Qld, giving students access to $250,000 of real money to invest in socially responsible ASX listed companies. All profits will be reinvested into student scholarships.
Gain professional skills
Utilising Griffith’s state-of- the-art Trading Rooms, equipped with 24 Bloomberg Terminals, the Student Investment Fund will allow students to make authentic investments in an industry-standard work environment.
Work with industry professionals
A dedicated Investment Committee comprised of industry professionals and expert staff, will guide and mentor students throughout the initiative and help fine-tune their practical skills and knowledge.

Michael Pennisi is a Griffith Business School graduate and is proud to endorse the Fund from an industry perspective.
Michael was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of QSuper in 2015. He is also the Chief Executive Officer of QSuper’s financial planning subsidiary, QInvest Limited and life insurance company, QInsure Limited. QSuper has over 560,000 members and more than $70 billion in funds under management.
Michael has 26 years’ experience in senior executive roles with some of Australia’s largest superannuation funds and investment management and financial planning firms. He joined QSuper in 2010 as Chief Strategy Officer, where he was responsible for driving the Fund’s strategy, including its product and services offering. Before joining QSuper, Michael was the Managing Director of Corporate Strategy at QIC and held senior roles at QInvest Limited (including as Interim CEO ) where he drove a new strategy, advice model and implemented a suite of managed funds. He has also held roles at AMP and APRA’s predecessor, the Insurance and Superannuation Commission.
Michael is a Director of the Australian Council of Superannuation Investors ( ACSI ).
