The academic leaders’ forum is a bi-annual meeting for senior academic leaders to discuss and collaborate on some of the emerging strategic programs and directions of the University.

The academic leaders’ forum is a great opportunity for senior academic leaders to connect with their colleagues, learn about the Universities strategic priorities, and have a significant input into making those priorities successful.

Forums typically run in May and October at the Logan Campus. Invitations are sent directly from the DVC (Academic) prior to each session.

Who should attend

This forum is particularly for:

  • Deans
  • Heads of School/Department
  • Deputy Heads of School/Department
  • Research Centre Directors

The forum is led by Professor Debra Henly, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic).

Course content

Each forum has a number of relevant topics presented for information or discussion.  These may include internal policy or procedure changes, government or higher education changes which impact the University or information about new initiatives.  These workshops also provide academic managers with the opportunity to meet and network with each other.
