So long as you are not the Chair, you are still able to act as a referee for the candidate. You must also make sure the Chair is aware and you must submit your reference for the candidate prior to the interview process.
Does the onboarding module have the ability to be customised for local arrangements?
Not at this stage. The onboarding module is an overall University module. Conducting local onboarding is mentioned in the Hiring Manager tasks as something to complete.

You should advise the Chair of the Selection Panel of your relationship with the applicant. The Chair will determine if a conflict of interest applies and if so, will need to make the HR Adviser aware of the situation.

If we rehire a casual, will they have to do onboarding again?
Only if they have had a break in service of 12 months or more.
What is the standard interview timeframe?
For General Positions: Generally allow 30 - 45 minutes per interview. An additional selection method; such as a work test may also be undertaken should the role require it.
For Academic Positions: Generally 45 minutes or more per interview and include additional selection methods such as a presentation/seminar.
Please note this will depend on the level of the position and interview format.
What kind of room should we conduct our interviews in?
For interviews that do not require a presentation/seminar by the applicant, a standard meeting room is acceptable. For interviews that do require the applicant to give a presentation/seminar, a room with the relevant technological facilities is required. This includes PowerPoint, laptop and projection facilities.
For interviews where applicants are attending the interview via teleconference or video facilities, ensure that the room has video conferencing facilities available.
When will my recruitment advertisement be available on the web?
It will be available on the web within two business days of the final approval.
When will the successful applicant receive their letter of offer?
The letter of offer will be sent within three business days of final appointment approval.
