How can I view my Payslip?
You can view and print your Payslip through the "My Staff Portal".
- Log into "My Staff Portal" via the Griffith Website Home Page;
- Select "My Staff Page" listed in Key Services;
- The Home Page will appear;
- Select "About Me"
- Click on the title "My Payslips" on left hand menu.
If you are having difficulty viewing your Payment Summary please:
- Clear your cache/internet browsing history/cookies;
- Disable your pop up blocker.

How do I make changes to my tax?
Complete a new tax file declaration by logging into Griffith Staff Portal>My Staff Page>About Me>TFN Declaration. Ensure all fields are answered and hit "save". Once saved, the information will automatically update the payroll system and fields will clear for next time you need to update details.

How do I update my mailing address?
I have lost my Payment Summary, how can I receive another copy?
Your Payment Summary will continue to remain available in My Staff Page as long as you are an active staff member. You will be able to access and print it any time during this period. Log into Griffith Staff Portal><My Staff Page>About Me>My Payment Summaries. Ensure pop up blocker is switched off when clicking on Payment date to open the full pdf version of your payment summary.
Is proxy approval just for leave?
This is available for leave, adhoc timesheets and casual timesheets.

What do I do if an approver in the workflow is incorrect?

What do the "retrospective adjustments" on my payslip mean?
This section shows payments in previous pay periods being paid in this pay run. Negative amounts may appear in this column and this could be due to reversal of payments that relate to a prior pay period such as sick without salary or a leave application which was processed after the original pay was processed.
What is the difference between Overtime and Additional hours?
Overtime is paid to full time staff who work beyond their 7.25 hours on a Monday - Friday, or any hours on a Saturday or Sunday that is not in their standard work schedule, and is requested by their supervisor.
Additional hours are paid to part time staff that work beyond their standard part time hours until they have worked past 7.25 ordinary hours in any shift at the request of their supervisor. From that point onwards, overtime is paid.
What is the YTD column on my payslip?
YTD stands for "Year to Date" which shows your total earnings and deductions for the financial year from 1 July to 30 June.
When are Payment Summaries sent?
Payment Summaries are available on My Staff Page from mid-July each year for all active staff. Access the Payment Summary Log in the Griffith Staff Portal>My Staff Page>About Me>My Payment Summaries. Ensure the pop up blocker is switched off when clicking on the payment date to open the full pdf version of the payment summary.
Employees employed during the previous financial year, but no longer working at Griffith University will receive a hard copy Payment Summary posted to their last recorded home address.
When is Education Assistance paid?
Education Assistance is paid on the University Census date published in the Academic Calendar.

HELP is the Higher Education Loan Program. Please contact the Australian Taxation Office for queries regarding your HELP debt.
Why isn't the pay period on my payslip the same as the dates I worked?
If you are a casual or academic sessional staff member, currently on paper-based contract/timesheet you are paid two weeks in arrears. These hours will appear under the "retrospective adjustments" sections of your payslip.
Will additional hours be online?
Yes, log into Griffith Staff Portal>Time and Absence>Enter Timesheet/Adhoc Claim.
