You are encouraged to discuss breaches of the Code of Conduct with your manager, or other appropriate persons, including HR Business Partners.
What does the Code of Conduct mean to me?
The University expects that all staff will behave professionally and with respect and consideration for others, including staff who report to them, supervisors, colleagues, students, and internal and external customers.
What is the Code of Conduct?
The University is required to have a Code of Conduct (the Code) under the Queensland Public Sector Ethics Act 1994 (Act). The Act sets out ethical principles which provide the basis for Codes of Conduct for public officials.
Who does the Code of Conduct apply to?
It applies to all staff and individuals acting on the behalf of the University, including:
- Continuing, fixed term, sessional and casual staff;
- Visiting, honorary and adjunct staff;
- Volunteer staff; and
- Contract staff.
