Meet your coaches

Jeremy Wardrop - Head Coach

Jeremy Wardrop is a Silver Licence swimming coach and has been involved in coaching for over 10 years.

Jeremy has served on the Australian Dolphin team as a home coach, at the Australian Paralympic Development and elite camps at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS), was a target squad coach with the Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) and a coach for Swimming Queensland's (SQ) Talent Camps.

He has experience coaching athletes to compete at an international level for Australia and state level including the Australian Age and Australian Championships.

Junior Squad

Junior Squad is an introduction for students into a squad environment and provides them with an understanding of what it means to be part of a swim squad.

The aim of this squad is to provide a fun, yet challenging environment, with a strong focus on maintaining the students stroke technique fine-tuned in stage 7 of learn to swim. Junior Squad requires a minimum of 1 session per week, and each session runs for 45 mins in duration.

Bronze Squad

The aim of Bronze Squad is to begin to highlight the difference between swimming for enjoyment and the introduction of what swimming competitively means. Session times extend to 1 hour 15 minutes and sets are more focused around building student’s aerobic endurance required to progress to the next squad level, as well as developing race skills for competition.

Bronze Squad has a minimum requirement of 2 sessions per week.

Silver Squad

The Silver Squad is for swimmers who wish to pursue swimming at a competitive level. At this level we identify the swimmer’s competitive goals and develop a tailored training plan in order to achieve these.Training sessions extend to 1 hour 30 minutes in duration and have a minimum 4 sessions per week.

Swimmers at this level are required to be competing at a state level of competition through to age national level.

Senior Squad

Senior Squad is offered by invitation only from Head Coach, Jeremy. This Squad is a personalized program by Jeremy, that is specifically designed to the swimmer and their competitive swimming goals they are striving to achieve. Swimmers who continually demonstrate commitment, technique, desire and ability to develop their skills in a more intense, competitive environment.

Swimmers striving to be a part of the Senior Squad need to be competing at a national level of swimming and having swimming as their primary focus.
