Life at Pallara – This is a community to feel at home in, with space for your family to grow. It is close to everything from schools, an abundance of parks, shops, restaurants, cafes and medical facilities – allowing you to enjoy your new home when you first move in.
Logan City Council
Logan is one of the largest and fastest growing cities in Australia. Logan City Council, a progressive leader in local government, provides community services and facilities to its residents. Logan's vision is Building Our Communities, Our Businesses and Our Pride.
Over 300,000 people call Logan home, and this is expected to grow by 200,000 over the next 20 years. Logan is ideally situated between Brisbane, Ipswich, Redlands and the Gold Coast and offers a range of lifestyles to its residents.
At Griffith University, Logan campus, a unique collection of native trees has been planted as part of an eight hectare arboretum, essentially a living museum. This site has been revegetated by Logan City Council in conjunction with Griffith. The species include plants that have Indigenous and European significance, and species that are rare and threatened in South East Queensland. The arboretum will provide numerous opportunities for the community such as education for school students, a relaxing space to spend time, and an area to reconnect with cultural heritage.
Participants in the 5km and 10km races at the Logan Fun Run will get the opportunity to run through the arboretum, as well as Riverdale Park, Meadowbrook. Riverdale Park is 10 hectares and borders the banks of the Logan River. It was once part of the Armstrong Family's 100 year old grazing property. Riverdale Park offers an ideal place for some exercise or fitness with bikeways and a fitness circuit with river views.
The Logan Community Bank® project began in February of 2001 when yet another major bank closure in the Logan district sparked outrage amongst local residents‚ and prompted Cathleen Wallis and Lynne Power to contact Bendigo Bank about possible community bank options within the area.
The Marsden branch have generously supported the Griffith Sport Logan Fun Run since it’s foundation year, and are a great example of true community members. We highly recommend speaking to Matt Harris and the team about any of your banking needs.
