The Griffith Social and Behavioural Research College (GSBRC) hosted a Seminar on the 31 October at the Nathan campus with a video link to the Gold Coast campus. The Seminar was entitled 'Connecting with... Griffith Enterprise' and was for researchers who wished to showcase their research by developing their Griffith professional page.
Ms Dorina Caccamo, Associate Director with Griffith Enterprise and Mr Anthony Pages, a Business Development Manager, also with Griffith Enterprise, led participants through the options available to develop their Griffith professional page working with the Griffith CV and consultancy templates. The benefits of having and continuing to keep updated an online profile can provide improved visibility for researchers and the ability to share their research.
Further information and tools for Griffith Enterprise may be accessed at this link http://www.griffith.edu.au/griffith-enterprise.
Social media can also be used to build a research profile, publish research and collaborate with others. Ms Julie Blakey, Social Media Advisor from the Academic Services Unit, hosted this portion of the Seminar discussing the various social media sites available and highlighting some of those which would provide the best platforms for researchers to use.
