The Griffith Social and Behavioural Research College works to ensure the University is recognised locally, nationally and internationally for its high quality and relevant research in the social and behavioural sciences and humanities.
Our objectives are to support our member Centres and Institutes, and all social science researchers at Griffith University to:
- Build the capacity of researchers to undertake high quality research;
- Engender an improved and engaged research culture and performance, particularly around common research interests and approaches;
- Promote Griffith's strengths in social and behavioural sciences and humanities, to improve partnerships, funding and to attract the next generation of researchers through staff and/or higher research degree recruitment.
Our Management Committee includes Directors from each member Centre/Institute and Deans' Research from the four academic groups; Arts, Education and Law, Business, Health and Science, Environment, Engineering and Technology.
We conduct programs and activities throughout the year in support of our objectives and in collaboration with our member partners.
