These terms and conditions form the basis of the Griffith Food Card and govern the use of the card and membership of the program.
By applying for a Griffith Food Card or using the Griffith Food Card, a person:
- agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions and any variations to them;
- agrees to receive information via email or any form of communication from Campus Life Griffith Food.
Obtain a Griffith Food Card from a Griffith Food outlet or Griffith Pay.
For Griffith Pay purchases, Griffith Food Card will need to be picked up from the Griffith Food Office, Nathan Campus, Hub Building, N11, Room 1.07. A Photo ID and a copy of the receipt must be presented to obtain a card.
Add additional funds on a Griffith Food Card at participating Griffith Food Outlets using cash or EFTPOS, or Griffith Pay.
The issuing of a Griffith Food Card and disqualifying of a Griffith Food Card is at the sole discretion of Griffith Food.
The Griffith Food Card must be presented at the time of making a purchase at participating Griffith Food Outlets.
Griffith Food will regard the person presenting the Griffith Food Card as the registered Card Holder. It is the Card Holder's responsibility to keep the Griffith Food Card and his or her personal information safe and Griffith Food is not responsible for stolen, lost or damaged Cards or the failure of a card holder to provide the Griffith Food Card at the time of making a purchase. If a Griffith Food Card is lost or damaged, the registered Card Holder may apply to Griffith Food for a replacement card by submitting a request via email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Griffith Food charges an administrative charge of $25 for the replacement of a Card. This fee is not refundable.
The Griffith Food Card at all times remains the property of Griffith Food.
For a card to remain valid, it will need to be 'Active'. For the card to remain 'Active', the registered card holder must present the Griffith Food Card at participating Griffith Food outlets and make a purchase within a 4 month period.
In the event that no purchase is made within a 4 month period and Griffith Food are unable to contact the card holder to acknowledge the requirement of the card, The card may be cancelled. Any funds left on a cancelled Card will be forfeited. Griffith Food Card must be used within the 4 month of issue.
Card Balances can be checked at the Point of Sale at any Participating Griffith Food Outlet.
Card Holders are able to enquire on any matters pertaining to Griffith Food Card via email email@example.com or by telephone 3735 7795.
The Griffith Food Card can be used to purchase any items for sale within a participating Griffith Food Outlet with the exception of alcohol:
- Alcohol can only be purchased with a meal
- One Standard Alcoholic beverage per meal item
- No Alcohol purchases will be allowed after 7pm
If a Card Holder no longer wishes to use the Griffith Food Card, the member can deactivate the card by notifying Griffith Food on 3735 7795 or via email firstname.lastname@example.org
Once funds are loaded onto a card they are non-refundable. For exceptional circumstances a refund may be warranted but this will be taken on a case by case basis and is at the sole discretion of Griffith Food Management.
A Card holder can access his or her personal information held by Griffith Food by contacting Griffith Food at 3735 7795.
Griffith University collects, stores, and uses personal information only for the purposes of administering Food & Retail. The information collected will be handled in accordance with Griffith University's Privacy Plan.
Griffith Food reserves the right to vary these terms and conditions at any time and to suspend, cancel or modify the program and/or the Griffith Food Card at any time upon reasonable notice.
- To add or remove Griffith Food Outlets and/or where the Griffith Food Card may be used
- To add or remove goods and services which may be purchased with the Griffith Food Card
- For infrastructural, systems, administrative or operational reasons or to prevent the occurrence of fraud or other unlawful or unacceptable conduct
- To comply with any contract, law, regulation or statute or order or judgement of any court, tribunal or other body having competent jurisdiction
- Where we, acting reasonably, consider that it will not be to your detriment.
All new and active card holders are assumed to accept the current terms and conditions.
Participating outlets will be outlined on the Griffith Food Card website and may be subject to change from time to time.
Griffith Food will not be responsible for lost, stolen or damaged Griffith Food Cards.
Any complaints about goods or services purchased with a Griffith Food Card must be resolved directly with Griffith Food outlet concerned. No complaints acceptable thereafter.
