Environmental Science/Bachelor of Science degree, students embark on exclusive Capstone course experiences that bring together all studied areas into an industry context. From studying rainforest conservation in Borneo, marine biology throughout the Great Barrier Reef, connecting with endangered species at the Australian Wildlife Conservancy or analysing land degradation and erosion in affected areas, every graduate will exit with work ready skills in project planning, risk assessments, reporting and presenting findings through oral and visual means.
Within the Bachelor of Marine Science/Bachelor of Science there is even greater emphasis on practical, hands-on tuition directed by lecturers who are passionate about the marine environment and happy to share their latest research findings. Through the various specialisations, students enjoy field experiences on Heron Island in the Great Barrier Reef, the sand islands of Moreton Bay and trips to Gold Coast beaches and estuaries. The School of Environment has developed close industry ties with SeaWorld plus many other marine industries where you’ll be exposed to the roles you’re destined for upon graduation.
