Make use of our systems and support to ensure your ARC grant application is competitive

If you’re considering applying for an ARC grant, we have systems and support in place to ensure your submission is competitive and aligns with our reputation for remarkable research. See the ARC website for the full range of schemes available.

Not sure if you are ready to apply for a Future Fellowship? Use our self-assessment tool below to find out.

The OR team has developed a self-assessment tool for researchers who would like to apply for an ARC Future Fellowship (see FUTURE FELLOWSHIPS further below). The purpose of the ARC Future Fellowship self-assessment is to help you gauge your readiness to apply for this highly competitive scheme. The goal of the assessment is to be honest with yourself about your readiness to apply, identifying those areas you may need to work on to increase your competitiveness.

Grant application development process

IMPORTANT NOTICE - Change of DECRA submission dates in 2020

The ARC have advised that from late 2020, DECRA applications will close in November each year to align with Future Fellowships scheme. This will mean there will be two DECRA rounds closing in 2020 in the move to this earlier submission date. DE21 for funding commencing in 2021 closes 12 March 2020 and the DE22 round for funding commencing in 2022 will close in November 2020.

To support the transition to the new timeline, the ARC will ensure that eligibility periods for PhD conferral will be adjusted so that no candidates are disadvantaged.
