Advancing the protection of the world's remaining boreal and temperate primary forests

Boreal and temperate primary forests are irreplaceable sanctuaries for much of the world's biodiversity and play a significant role in global climate. This research project is aimed at advancing the protection of the world's remaining boreal and temperate primary forests through improving the information base, identifying emerging threats, developing policy options, and investigating on-ground implementation issues through case studies in three key boreal and temperate forest regions..
