We will begin assessing your application once we have received all the necessary documentation – this includes the submission of at least 1 referee report from your academic referees.

All offers of admission require a full assessment and endorsement from the relevant School or Department and Group to ensure the provision of suitable supervision and resources. The average assessment period for a complete application is 6–8 weeks. However if you have applied for a scholarship, this period may take longer to incorporate the scholarship assessment and ranking process. This is why we recommend that, if you are applying for scholarship, you submit your application at least four months before your preferred intake start date. You will be advised of the outcome of your application for admission by email. Successful applicants will receive an offer of candidature (and if applicable scholarship) that will include the details you need to begin your research journey.
