Your online application will be reviewed by the University's team of academic staff. You will be advised of the outcome of your application for admission by email. The average assessment period for a complete application is 6–8 weeks. However if you have applied for a scholarship, the assessment period may take longer.
The majority of scholarships are awarded in the annual scholarship round. Applications received at other times are considered on a case-by-case basis with scholarships awarded to high quality applicants. These include applicants from Australian institutions graduating in trimester / semester 1 who wish to commence in trimester 2. Applicants applying at other times should submit their application 4 months before the preferred intake date.
If you require evidence of an offer of candidature earlier than this, a request can be made to the Griffith Graduate Research School. Successful applicants will receive an offer of candidature (and if applicable scholarship) that will include the information needed to commence your program.
We will begin assessing your application once we have received all the necessary documentation – this includes the submission of at least 1 referee report from your academic referees.
If you are applying during the annual scholarship round, an outcome will be available approximately 2 months from the close of the round (see key dates for details) to the email address you provided in your application. For those applying outside the round, your outcome will be provided via email when it is available. For successful applicants, the email will contain your offer letter with all the details you need to begin your research journey.
