Gold Coast Red Zone

The Gold Coast campus, centrally located in Southport, is our largest campus. The Red Zone at the Gold Coast campus is located in the new Griffith Health Centre (G40), which is across the road from the Gold Coast University Hospital, on the corner of Olsen Avenue and Parklands Drive.

Public transport

You can reach the Gold Coast campus by bus, train, or the Gold Coast Light Rail. Helensvale is the closest train station, and is approximately 15 minutes by car or 20 minutes by bus to the Gold Coast campus. Trains to Brisbane and Robina can be boarded at this station. Bus connections run between Robina station, Helensvale station and the Gold Coast campus. The Gold Coast Light Rail runs from Southport to the Gold Coast University Hospital in 11 minutes and from Cavill Avenue in 25 minutes. The Gold Coast University Hospital station is a five-minute walk from the Red Zone.


The Gold Coast campus is a 10-minute drive from the centre of the Gold Coast and a 45-minute drive from Brisbane. There are several options for parking t the Gold Coas, including metered parks at $2 per hour with a two-hour maximum, daily permits for $6 and pay and display parking for $3.30 for three hours. Paid parking is also available at the Gold Coast University Hospital and the Parklands Showgrounds.

Nathan Red Zone

N78 - Room 0.14

Nathan, Griffith's foundation campus, is situated in tranquil, native bushland on the edge of Toohey Forest. It is a short walk or bus ride from our Mt Gravatt campus or a 15-minute drive from the Brisbane CBD. At Nathan, the Red Zone is located on the ground floor of the Sir Samuel Griffith Centre (N78).

Public transport

You can reach the Nathan campus by bus either directly to the campus or via the Griffith University Busway. An intercampus bus runs from the Mt Gravatt busway to the Nathan campus.


The Nathan campus is a 15-minute drive south from the Brisbane CBD. It can be accessed from the Pacific Motorway (M1) via the Klumpp/Mains Road exit 11 south bound, from the Gaza Road exit 9 northbound, or from Kessels Road. Parking is available in general and metered pars for $2 an hour with a two-hour maximum or for $6 a day.
