Research InterestsBen’s research interests concern social theoretical investigations of health and physical education pedagogy. Broadly, these researches involve qualitative explorations of formal and informal knowledge (re)production concerning physical activity, health and the body. Currently, he has a strong interest in exploring the implications of blended learning strategies for the (re)production of body knowledge in performative learning areas such as health and physical education. Ben is also an active member of the Griffith Institute of Educational Research’s Critical Research Methodologies Group.
Ben teaches into the School’s Bachelor of Education (Secondary) and Graduate Diploma of Education (Secondary) programs. His teaching areas align with, inform, and are informed by, his research interests, and focus on teaching, learning and curriculum issues in middle and senior years health and physical education.
