Musical Awareness programs are offered to students who wish to develop and acquire theoretical and practical skills through the study of music elements. Music performance and music theory go hand-in-hand and an understanding of the structure and devices used in the composition of a work can add another dimension of appreciation and understanding for the young musician.
Musical awareness consists of the following programs in the Young Conservatorium:
- Theory and Aural Class - Saturday 1.00pm-2.00pm, students enrolled in ensembles or tuition, $350 per year
- Creative Encounters with Music Technology - Saturday 9.00am-11.00am, middle and secondary students, $350 per year
- Performance Presentation and Stagecraft - Saturdays 9.30am-10.30am, classical and contemporary voice students, $350 per year
