Meet our team of training experts who make up the PharMIbridge RCT.

Dr Kylie Bailey

Dr Bailey is a senior clinical psychologist, who is employed as a Service Manager at Hunter Primary Care, and senior lecturer at The University of Newcastle. Dr Bailey has over 20 years’ clinical experience of working with people with addiction, mental health and trauma symptoms. Dr Bailey has extensive experience delivering trauma-informed interventions and evidence-based treatments such as motivational interviewing, cognitive behaviour therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy and low intensity interventions. Dr Bailey has 18 years’ experience of developing education and training programs at the University level and has taught pharmacy, medical, nursing and psychology postgraduate students.

Dr Justin Chapman

Dr Justin Chapman is a research with QIMR Berghofer, a Program Manager with PCYC Queensland, and a Consumer Consultant with Metro South Addictions and Mental Health. Justin’s research interests are in implementing and evaluating lifestyle interventions for marginalized and disadvantaged groups, with a focus on exercise and nutrition interventions for people with mental illness. His work is on systems-level change (quality improvement initiatives, collaborative care models), and person-centred interventions to enable adoption and maintenance of healthy lifestyle behaviours. Completing his doctorate in measuring and positively influencing the physical activity patterns of adults with mental illness (UQ 2016), he now implements and lifestyle interventions for people with mental health issues across Queensland, and received the 2-18 Open Minds Individual award for improving the quality of life of Queenslanders in acknowledgement of this work.

Keith Crump

Keith has a background is in Hospital Pharmacy practice and as Pharmacist Facilitator for Primary Health Organisations. Currently, he splits his time between Northshore Hospital as a clinical pharmacist and ProCare Health Ltd as a Change Facilitator.  He has an interest in mental health, quality improvement and supporting change in primary care.

Dr Theo Theodoros

Dr. Theo Theodoros graduated from both pharmacy and medicine at the University of Queensland. Having completed an advanced training certificate in Adult Psychiatry, Theo has been working as a psychiatrist at the Princess Alexandra hospital (PAH) where he is currently the psychiatrist for the EDMH (Emergency Department Mental Health). Dr Theodoros also works as a private psychiatrist.  Concurrently, holding medicine/ psychiatry and pharmacy registrations, and working as both a psychiatrist and community pharmacist, Theo has continued to demonstrate an interest in neuropsychopharmacology and the Quality Use of Medicines. He is currently the chair of the PAH Mental Health Medication Safety Committee, and co-chair for the Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Services Medication Management Committee. Dr. Theodoros has also been employed as a content expert for the RANZCP (Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists) Queensland PGT (Post- Graduate Training) program to develop modules on psychopharmacology. Theo has published research regarding antipsychotic polypharmacy, prescription of antipsychotic LAIs, and limbic encephalitis.  Theo has also demonstrated a passion for digital healthcare and has been privileged to work as the mental health medical lead for the largescale rollout of an ieMR (Integrated Electronic Medical Record) in the Metro South HHS (Hospital and Health Service), which was the first HHS to remove the NIMC (national Inpatients Medication chart) for inpatient services in Australia. He has also continued to assist in supervising Quality Use of Medicines Pharmacy students and continues to work with Queensland Health to deliver enhancements to the ieMR to improve healthcare for patients with a severe and persistent mental illness.
