Graduate with work experience that matters
There are many benefits for you if you choose to do a local community internship. Employers like to see experience in the real world on your resume. Volunteering also helps you to develop a range of personal and professional skills which make you a highly valued employee. For international students, it provides an excellent way to practice work-related English language skills.

We currently have over 700 virtual, face to face and mixed-mode internships available. They are generally located in Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

First of all, Register and complete your eligibility.
Organise your Blue Card via Student Connect.
Next steps:
- Select your preferred Internship via Sonia. Once you receive access you will be able to select an internship via SONIA. SONIA is the student placement management software we use for internship placements.
- Enrol via myGriffith into your lecture and workshop. To view dates and times, visit Undergraduate 3002LFC or Postgraduate 7510LFC course details. We can only secure your preferred internship if you are enrolled.
Finally, you can come to a one-on-one consultation session if you feel it is a bit confusing and you need some help in choosing and securing an internship. Consultation sessions are held at Gold Coast, Logan and Nathan campuses, or via phone.
