Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

In accordance with the University’s response to the coronavirus (COVID-19), we are offering online community internships for Trimester 1 2021. We thank you for your understanding and support.

Graduate with work experience that matters

Community Internship is a 10CP free-choice elective course. That means being able to do something for real in a community organisation to help you make sense of your academic learning and develop an understanding of how you can contribute to your community.

At the heart of this course is a minimum of 50 hrs volunteering in a community organisation. In addition, there is a shell course of on-line self-paced activities.

This course will be something you want to feature in your resume because of the personal and professional skills you will grow during your internship.

Local internships

There are many benefits for you if you choose to do a local community internship. Employers like to see experience in the real world on your resume. Volunteering also helps you to develop a range of personal and professional skills which make you a highly valued employee. For international students, it provides an excellent way to practice work-related English language skills.

Global internships

Challenge yourself, impress potential employers, expand your cultural horizons, discover amazing places and form lifelong memories. Participating in an overseas program as a part of your degree is one of the best experiences you can have at university.
