Griffith University is continuing to lead a significant transformation of academic programs and processes. Program leadership puts students at the centre of these changes.
The Program Directors' Leadership Series has been building program leadership since 2015, with academics from a range of program leadership roles taking part. These roles include Program Director, Program Advisor, Academic Lead and First Year Coordinator.
Learning Futures invites current and aspiring Program Leaders to join the next iteration of the Program Directors’ Leadership Series to explore aspects of their role and develop their capacity to lead within the context of change.
Getting the most out of this professional learning opportunity
We know that you are very busy, so we have designed these sessions to make the most of your time. Taking a flipped classroom approach to professional learning, we will be using each session to focus on enhancing your skills for leading at the program level.
We will work with key processes that can make a difference to the way that you lead. You will have space for a deeper learning experience, with fellow program leaders, and have the opportunity to practice, reflect and connect.
When registering, please consider your readiness to commit to:
- Participating in self-paced online learning experiences, including a PebblePad workspace, to prepare for the workshops (available one month before workshops)
- Engaging in a conversation with your supervisor, mentor or peer about your leadership practice
- Joining a 1 hour orientation session and the two day workshop (details below) with your colleagues
