Second step
If you decide to participate in the L&T Practice Program then your second step is to complete the online Expression of Interest.
Timeframe for developing your application
In order to apply for Fellowship through Program 4, you will develop and submit a written Expression of Interest. If you are invited into the program, you will then develop your application over a 12 week period. During this time there is support available to you, and you are encouraged to work with a peer mentor who is already an HEA Fellow, Senior Fellow or Principal Fellow.
The experiences of previous applicants indicates this program takes some time and commitment to complete. For Fellowship, you will write a 3,500 word application, and for Senior Fellow you will write a 7,500 word application (or equivalent). Before applying, please think about your availability to undertake the fellowship process. You can choose to engage with the program during T1 (February to May) or T2 (June to October) in any year. To be considered for the Program you will need to submit an EOI in the previous trimester.
Due dates
- For entry into Trimester 2, 2019, your EOI must be received by 5.00 pm on Tuesday 30 April, 2019
- For entry into Trimester 1, 2020, your EOI must be received by midnight on Friday 29 November, 2019
Notification of EOI outcome
Entry into the Learning and Teaching Practice Program is limited. Applicants will be invited into the Program based on: potential for successful outcome, representation of the Griffith Academic Groups, and a diversity of Fellow and Senior Fellow applicants. You will be notified of the outcome of your EOI approximately two weeks after the closing date.

Engaging with the Process Workshop
If your EOI is successful, you will be invited to enrol in the “Engaging in the Process” workshop. This workshop will help you to complete your application for Fellowship and further explain the support and resources available. Workshops are currently scheduled as indicated below. Before the workshop, you will be asked to complete two short online modules (approximately 2-3 hours in total) which explain the PSF and include example of portfolio writing. Please consider your availability for one of these workshops, and your availability to complete the online modules, when deciding whether to apply for Fellowship in T1 or T2.
