2017 Celebrating Teaching featured sessions on immersive learning environments, assessing for employability and preparing and empowering our students for remarkable futures.

Griffith staff had the opportunity to learn how to leverage this tool to engage their students in a variety of student-centred learning activities. Attendees also had the opportunity to meet the Co-Founder and CEO of PebblePad, Shane Sutherland, who presented at the event.
Transforming Learning Symposium
The day featured thought provoking keynotes from Griffith staff and an international guest speaker, as well as opportunities for sharing of practice with colleagues from each of Griffith's academic groups.
Assessing for Employability Symposium
This event showcased good practice in employability-focused assessment and explored ways that assessment and feedback can develop our student's professional identity and capability.
Immersive Learning Realities Symposium
The day featured keynote presentations by Alex Freeman from the New Media Consortium and Rey Fleming from Microsoft, examples of immersive learning at Griffith and opportunities to see how emergent technologies such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR) and 360 degree video can enhance learning in today's context.
