Lisa Banks from Canada talks about life as a student at Griffith University’s Gold Coast campus.
“I really like the atmosphere of Griffith. It seems very easy going and really social and the location just seemed a little bit better too.
It’s really close to Surfers Paradise and you’ve got Southport which has a lot of great shopping and everything. The thing is that there is so much to do on the Gold Coast. I don’t think that you would ever be bored. There’s cute little cafes, and bars and pubs and everything. A million different restaurants. Any type cuisine you could ever want, they have. So yeah, it’s a great place to be. I like it.
All of the professors have been so great and the classes I actually found are quite small. So I found that the professor would actually know my name and and be able to have a chat with me. So I’ve always felt like I’ve had that sort of support system. I felt more comfortable and I felt like I’ve also come away having things to show future employers.
So I can say ‘This is what I know but also look at what I can do.”
