Eman Elghamdi from Saudi Arabia talks about life as a student at Griffith University’s Gold Coast campus.
“My name is Eman Elghamdi and I’m from Saudi Arabia studying Master of Pharmacy.
I chose Gold Coast campus because it has the pharmacy college in it.
The lifestyle here in the Gold Coast is very good. It is cheaper than other cities in Australia and it is amazing weather here. Arabic restaurants and Arabic supermarkets. We can visit and we can get what we want. Beaches, family places and playgrounds.
The student services is very good here at the Gold Coast campus. There are people who help me in the library, with how to write a literature review or how to do proofreading for research writing. The International Student Advisors are the first point for International students, if they have any questions or if they need any assistance in their academic studies and to fit in culturally.
Our school pharmacy allows us to practice dispensing before we go to the professional practice.
The new Gold Coast University Hospital and Griffith Health Centre is the start of the new Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct. It’s great to have researching, teaching hospital all together in the same place to collaborate all the time with each other.”
