Nordic Undergraduate Scholarships
For: Students from Nordic countries applying for Arts, Education and Law (AEL) undergraduate studies at Griffith University. Please visit 'How to apply' for instructions on how to lodge an application for admission to an undergraduate AEL program.
Available to: Commencing undergraduate AEL students in Trimester 3 2017. See 'Eligibility' for more information.
Level of study: Undergraduate.
Citizenship: Citizens of Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland, or holder of a Permanent Resident visa from these countries.
Award value and benefits: Up to $3,000 in total as tuition fee reductions to be paid in two tuition instalments of $1,500 in the first trimester of study and $1,500 in the second trimester of study. Students must be enrolled full-time to receive the tuition fee reduction.
Duration: Two trimesters.
Programs of study: AEL undergraduate programs (excludes online, non-award, offshore delivered programs, and students that defer commencement to 2018).
Applications open: N/A (no application required).
Applications close: Scholarships places are limited and will be offered up until 15 October 2017, or up to when the limit for scholarship and program acceptances has been reached, whichever is first. Please see ‘Offer process’ for more information.
- Be a citizen or permanent resident of Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland or Iceland to be eligible for the AEL Nordic scholarships, subject to satisfying appropriate entry requirements for the proposed degree program, including results of previous study and English language proficiency as per Griffith University's undergraduate entry requirements.
- Be commencing (not existing) and enrolling as a full-time student in an undergraduate AEL degree in Trimester 3 2017 at Griffith University.
Griffith International will identify eligible students at the time of assessment for entry into undergraduate AEL programs (conditions under 'Eligibility' apply).
Undergraduate AEL scholarships will be offered to students entering AEL programs from Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland.
AU$3,000 will be deducted from AEL undergraduate tuition fees only. Two deductions of AU$1,500 will be applied in the first trimester and second trimester of the program. It will be applied by the Griffith University census date of each relevant trimester of the program.
Following application for admission to an undergraduate AEL program, if an applicant is assessed to be eligible for a Nordic Undergraduate Scholarship, Griffith International will formally issue a Scholarship Offer Letter with the Letter of Offer for the program.
Students will also be given a date by which to accept the scholarship. Scholarship offers not accepted by the specified date will be withdrawn. Please note that students need to accept both their program offer and scholarship offer to secure a scholarship place.
