Professional Development Courses in Human Resource Management
Performance management systems
Overview: This course aims to equip managers with the skills and knowledge to enable them to effectively implement a performance management system. The course will also enable managers to design, evaluate and adapt performance management systems. The course aims to assist managers from organisations that have struggled with effective individual performance management. The course is based on management and human resource management courses that have been offered at Griffith University for over 10 years. Participants in past programs include middle and senior managers from private and government organisations based in countries including Indonesia, China, Philippines, India, Vietnam, France, Columbia and Australia.
Competency-based Human Resource Management
Overview: The program will focus on Competency Development and Competence-Based Human Resource Management. Competency-based management supports the integration of human resources planning with business planning by allowing organizations to assess the current human resource capacity based on their competencies against the capacity needed to achieve the vision, mission and business goals of the organization. Targeted human resource strategies, plans and programs to address gaps (e.g., hiring and staffing; learning; career development; succession management; etc.) are then designed, developed and implemented to close the gaps.
Overview: The program in strategic management will focus on teaching participants how to analyse the business environment, design appropriate business strategy as well as design a business performance management system.
Overview: The program will include intense discussion and sharing about the theory, tools and current issues in Capability Review. Participants will gain a benchmark/best practice of the implementation of these systems.
Gateway Reviews and Risk Management
Overview: The program will include intense discussion and sharing about the theory, tools and current issues in Gateway Reviews and Risk Management systems. Participants will gain a benchmark/best practice of the implementation of these systems.
