International Education Association of Australia (IEAA)'s Excellence Awards recognise and reward the outstanding contributions by individuals or teams to international education in Australia. They also provide a benchmark of excellence and best practice for the whole industry.
In November 2013, Griffith University was officially recognised by the IEAA for leadership and innovation in international education for the Griffith English Language Enhancement Strategy (GELES), of which English4grads is a part.
This pioneering strategy won the IEAA’s Award for Best Practice/Innovation in International Education and, consequently, interest in GELES has been widespread, both nationally and internationally.
GELES has made a significant contribution to the field of English language acquisition within the higher education sector.
Through GELES, Griffith University continues to be responsive to the needs and requirements of EAL students, as well as those of employers and higher education authorities.
