IELTS Testing at Griffith University
IELTS at Griffith is open to the public through GELI at the Mount Gravatt campus.
The IELTS English proficiency test is used in Australia for three main reasons
- For entry to academic study for students with English as an Additional Language (EAL)
- For migration requirements and visa applications to the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP)
- For professional registration (engineers, nurses, teachers, etc)
The IELTS test consists of a listening, reading and writing test that takes less than three hours and is held on Saturday mornings approximately twice a month.
In addition, a speaking test – a short 11 to 14 minute face-to-face interview – is held on Saturday afternoons or during the week prior.
IELTS testing is held at Griffith University’s Mount Gravatt campus and costs AU$330.
It is also occasionally available at the Gold Coast campus for Griffith students.
