Information privacy awareness
As an institution, Griffith takes its Information Privacy obligations seriously. To assist staff in navigating their way through the legislative requirements, the University has previously developed a range of guidelines and policies to let people know the type of information we collect about them and what we do with it, under the umbrella of the Information Privacy Act 2009 (Qld) and the Right to Information Act 2009 (Qld).
To complement the above guidelines, the Information Privacy Awareness at Griffith resource is now available for all staff, summarising the requirements and explaining your obligations using a series of scenarios to help make sense of those obligations in ‘real world’ terms.
