Reward and Recognition
In ODS we ‘recognise, celebrate and reward effort and achievement’.

The Information Services (now Office of Digital Solutions) staff Reward and Recognition Scheme was introduced in 2004. It is designed to formally reward and recognise outstanding contributions and efforts by individual staff members and teams and to promote them to the University community.
The ODS Awards programme acknowledges noteworthy performance embodying the ODS values of People, Learning, Leadership and Innovation and are made in one or more of the following categories:
- Supporting Learning and Teaching
- Supporting Research
- Service Excellence.
Award ceremonies are held annually, with calls for nominations made to the Directors by the ODS.
Recognising achievements is one way of showing that they are appreciated by the team, management and the University as a whole.
The Random Thank-You is designed for anyone to be able to nominate any other ODS staff member or team at anytime, for demonstrating the ODS values. Nominations of individuals or teams can be made at any time directly to the ODS who will select the recipients of a G’s Wine Bar Voucher (or similar).
