Associate Professor Halim Rane named
Australian Teacher of the Year 2015
Associate Professor Halim Rane is Griffith's third recipient of the prestigious Australian University Teacher of the Year award, acknowledging the quality teaching and outstanding contributions made to student learning at Griffith.
Halim developed the University's unique suite of Islamic Studies with a contemporary, secular focus on Islam-West relations. The courses investigate broad understanding of Islamic beliefs and practices, sacred scripture, laws, history and contemporary issues.
